In 2010 our client sought our team’s assistance and support to negotiate trading documents for a new business. DLC provided that support remotely, working closely with their in-house documentation, legal and business teams. This service was delivered in a seamless way as if we were part of their internal function to create know-how as well as execute documents to allow trading to begin and develop.

Whilst providing this service DLC were then also asked to develop a bespoke process with the aim of assisting them to clear a sizeable backlog of MiFID Terms of Business. Once again, our aim was to provide a seamless service, working as an extension of the in-house documentation team, where we were able to reduce and then clear the backlog in conjunction with dealing with new requests as and when they arose.

As we developed this internal process with our client, DLC continued to assist with negotiating trading documents and currently has a team of negotiators working in a dedicated area exclusively for our client. The team are an integral part of the internal negotiation function, taking part in training, ‘town halls’ and internal updates.

With continued pressure on financial institutions to provide more for less together with a growing frequency of hiring freezes forming part of cost cutting for businesses, DLC are here to provide an efficient, price-sensitive and bespoke service for clients.
